Issues
with eWorkplace
-
Sometimes it doesn't
seem to pay employees right, so we have to reset and reentry.
Specifics needed.
-
Managers are getting
upset about having to approve more than once. After they approve, they do not
want anyone to be able to change anything.
-
The review screen
shows at the time right way to pay but in the body of the screen, it seems to
duplicate. Can be deleted
We’ve provided examples to WorkBrain and they’ve gotten read access to our
production database so they can try to determine why this is happening.

Have to check the
system way too much, to make sure things are right.
This is
just as frustrating to Employee Accounting as it is to the field. We are
doing just as much checking, even more, because we’re trying to looking at all
employees current using eWorkplace. I’ve had several discussions with
WorkBrain about this and I’ve made it very clear how I feel about some of the
“unexplainable” happenings. I’ve been told that the upgrade will
significantly improve the situation – we’ll see. I can say that I am
impressed with the upgrade project manager and I think he will get resolution
to any items that we still have problems with after we implemented the
upgrade.

We understand that
eventually Eworkplace will stop picking up overtime & leave if not approved.
We need to know in advance, the effective date of this change.
Leave will
always be paid, even if it’s not approved, because it is a component of
straight time and we have to pay straight time. We will certainly notify you
in advance of turning on the code to drop pay for overtime if it’s not
approved.

In the site admin
role, all employees show up instead of just Bull Run. This makes it difficult
to get to just the data we need to see. Not a good idea for TVA-Wide data to
be available to all site administrators.
Specifically, which site administrator and where in the system? The only way
this should have throughout the system is if the site administrator has access
to “All Employees” and I didn’t see a Bull Run site administrator with this
access. So provide specifics, please.
-
Reports will not let
us pull BRF Yard which we need for sick leave reporting and other leave
taken.
Report retrieval is by site, team or employee. What parameters
are being entered and who is trying to run the report?
-
COMMENT --
Employees find this very frustrating trying to remember that the meal period
is the last 30 minutes of the day when entering leave.

in item 10.

We are currently
working w/Shirley Ratliff regarding a report that shows hours and gross pay in
Earning and Deductions for all Plant employees instead of pulling each
individual check in ePay when we have problems. A quick glance at an earnings
& deductions report gives us a quick way to determine if we have major pay
issue problems. We really need this report.
This was specifically for Bull Run because Kim Howell said that her plant
manager wanted her to look at each employee’s E&D before it became available
to them. I think he wanted to know of pay problems in advance. This was very
time consuming so I came up with a report and sent it to Kim, I don’t know how
useful it will be, she’s has not provided any feed back. When I sent it for
the 1/13 pay check she didn’t have time to look at it very much so as far as
I’m concerned I’ve fulfilled my part of the request.

Review Time Screen - Manual Date Range - We would like to be able to use the
date entered until adjustments are completed instead of the system defaulting
back to current date each time we select a new employee.
We’ll see
if WorkBrain can accommodate this request, it is not something we can change
in house.
-
When making
adjustments for an employee, you first have to go to the Review screen and
reset records and then go to the Time Entry screen to make the adjustments.
When you go to the Time Entry screen it should default to the SSN that you
were currently working in rather than the last employee that you made
adjustments to.
Same as
21.
-
When we change
schedules it should automatically reset the records rather than having to go
back to the timesheet and manually resetting the records.
We’ll look at in house, I believe we’d asked for this previously.
-
If review time does
not read the rules--- (conflicting info received from different Employee
Accounting sources), need to clarify if adjustments (both pay & leave) can be
made in review and the rules verified. If rules are not verified here, need
it communicated to all of TVA that no adjustments should be made on this
screen. .
Day break rules are not
applied on review time. If day break matters affect the rules, then the time
needs to be entered through the Time Entry screen, unless you specifically
know on which day the segments falls then it can be entered as such on Review
time. I’ll get the EA team together to see what’s being communicated.
-
COMMENT --
We would like for the "Search On" to default to Full Name instead of SSN for
the field clerks because we pull by names. This makes entry much quicker.
Identify which screens because Paula has changed several of
them, she cannot change the timesheet screens but we’ll see if WorkBrain will.
-
Also having problems
with roles not working correctly - Margie Davis can no longer review time-
have contacted Shirley on this.
I’ve
looked at this and I don’t see a problem. I told Nancy West that they can
look at their teams to see if Margie has the access she thinks she has, I
don’t have the time to look at each of their teams when they can do that
themselves.

When the default short
code is changed to another short code in eWorkplace, it is still showing as
the default short code when the actual transaction is viewed on the View
Payroll report in IBS. This work correctly for some employees but not for
others.
Provide specifics. It would be good if you could email the
example as soon as you see the erroneous update in IBS so we can look at the
timesheet. I’m wondering if the short code is being entered after the weekly
feed to IBS, if so then you should see a credit after the biweekly payroll
feed to IBS. Specifics, please.

Modify the Exception
Report to be more like the one in ATR. It appears that the pay period has to
be ended before you can get an accurate Exception Report. It appears that if
you run the Exception Report during the middle of a pay period that you may or
may not get exceptions listed for previous days in the current pay period.
The exception report can be run for 1 week or 2 weeks. I’ve
had this tested thoroughly by someone in another organization and she is not
having any problem with it. Please provide specifics or call someone in
Employee Accounting if there is doubt about how to run the report.
-
Still need a “Charges
to Standard Account” Report like in ATR.
This
report has been developed. I’ve tested it as much as I can and it’s being
moved to production. If problems are encountered with the report, please
email specifics to me.
-
Work Activity Charges
and Team Member Listing Reports are still not correct.
Specifics
please.
-
Doesn't correctly pay
shift differentials on weekends for OPEIU employees.
Paula has
made a code change and it is ready to be tested in acceptance. I’m hoping
this can be moved to production next week.
-
SLX (Sick Leave -
Special Surgery) code doesn't allow one to authorize an employee's time for
the particular day the code is used.
-
RST (Recall from
Annual Leave) code doesn't allow one to authorize an employee's time for the
particular day the code is used.
Jack
Parsons has been asked to look at this rule. John will be providing me with a
schedule of rule fixes early next week. Some fixes have been put on hold
because one of the resources has been India for the past 2 ½ months.
-
Shift Supervisors
holiday that rolls back or forward, on occasion, haven't shown up on the day
the holiday rolled.
Mentioned
Paula testing the nightly holiday processing, this should alleviate this
problem.
-
When going from Review
Time to Time Entry would like to see a feature that identifies whose time you
are looking at along with the SS#.
Will need
to discuss with WorkBrain.
-
When I put in overtime
early for UOs and AUOs, and then look at that overtime again the following
week, the overtime is gone.
How can
overtime possibly be entered in advance? Time is generated a week at a time,
for instance, time for the week of 1/6 was generated on Jan 4. When time is
generated, anything other than leave or holiday will be overwritten.
-
I heard some employees
suggest that they'd like to see the employee selection lists within eWorkplace
be alphabetized.
On all
panels? Paula will look at this one.
-
When selecting the
Manual Date Range on the Review Time screen, request that it would always be
defaulted to the current Monday to Sunday week for a combo or daily
timesheet. If one wants to see different date ranges (or day) then change the
date range (or day).
Addressed
somewhat in item 21.
