Vice Pres. Turner called the meeting to order at 7:00PM. JR Cox was absent all other officers present.

BILLS AND COMMUNICATIONS:

- Letter from John Walters concerning receipt of COPE payment.

- Letter from Bruce Dotson concerning the latest Upper East Tenn. C. L. C. meeting.

- AFL-CIO Special Capita request document, this is from a Resolution that came out at the 25^th annual AFL-CIO convention. It’s for the Labor-to-Labor effort in 2008.

- Professor Joel Cutcher-Gershenfeld and Professor Robert McKersie sent information concerning a Conference for Union & Management leadership training at Harvard University .

- Roger Mustard II requested reimbursement for ICS training in Chattanooga

- J.R. Cox requested reimbursement for Fin. Sec. Training, phone bill and 8 hrs annual leave & 4 hrs sick leave for lost leave due to over 80 hrs LWOP for union business

- Jason Melton requested reimbursement for 12 hrs LWOP and mileage for panel meeting.

- Upper East Tenn. Central Labor Council application for affiliation

REPORTS OF E-BOARD:

- No meeting conducted.

REPORTS OF DELEGATES AND COMMITTEES:

- Report was given on last Panel Meeting. Hot topics given were wage neg. and that there are 160 grievances pending and it was asked to please be patient.

PROPOSITION OF MEMBERHIP:

- Tracy Vandina new member.

- Steve Henry travel card.

- Denley Hensley travel card.

REPORTS OF ACCIDENTS, SICKNESS OR DEATHS:

- Andy Harper had a motorcycle wreck and is at home.

- Tom Reel had a motorcycle wreck.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

- Charles Rolen discussed issues about his grievance.

NEW BUSINESS:

- Tim Wilkey discussed issues about fire brigade (failing physical).

GOOD OF THE UNION :

- Charles Rolen won the door prize.

- Idea brought up about service pins.
