Pres. Turner called the meeting to order at 7:20PM. All officers were present.
BILLS AND COMMUNICATIONS:
- Letter from Keith Craig to David Beckler concerning appeal to Labor Relations the decision of Ron Hall on grievance #17523.
- Letter from Keith Craig to David Beckler concerning appeal to Labor Relations the decision of Ron Hall on grievance #17560.

- Tim Wilkey requests reimbursement for flowers sent to Scott Seal’s mother funeral
- Patrick Faust request reimbursement for 4 hours LWOP for meeting with management concerning 613 issues in Hydro
- Discussion was brought concerning that if we miss sending flowers to a funeral that we have bibles that can be sent after-the-fact.
- Thank you card from Amanda Seals for support of the Relay for Life in Phil Seals name.
REPORTS OF E-BOARD:
- Discussion on resignation of Larriette Greene and she was replaced by Sean Cash.
PROPOSITION OF MEMBERSHIP:
- Michael Marshall honorary withdrawal retired.
- Participating withdrawal for Larriette Greene.
- New members: CCDO’s at Bull Run

REPORTS OF DELEGATES AND COMMITTEES:
- Robert Fletcher discussed the Upper East Tenn. CLC meeting and upcoming events.
- Anniversary committee is still reviewing all options.
REPORTS OF ACCIDENTS, SICKNESS OR DEATHS:
- Lynn Davis prostate surgery.
- Tom McLeod out with health issues.
- Ricky Carroll father-in-law passed away.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
- Development of budget for Local still in progress and will continue to do research on Local Newsletter once budget is set.
- Development of Units still ongoing.
- Expense and procedure policy for Local to be using travel expense report and lost time voucher. Forms still in draft status.
- Discussions concerning temporary moving monthly meeting to different locations were ongoing. The motion was tabled until October meeting so a more in depth look at demographics can be done. We will be having a vote at the October meeting to have 1 meeting at a temporary location. If you have any comments or questions please be present at the meeting.
NEW BUSINESS:
- CCDO staffing at Kingston is an ongoing issue not filling positions causing leave and other problems.
- Patrick Faust met with Fort Loudon Hydro management concerning safety issues with TSP 613. He got assurance that the procedure would be followed and has seen positive results.
- TVA is soliciting referrals for “Property Maintenance Worker” position in Kingston. One temporary annual position.
- Discussion concerning bypassing Labor Relations in the grievance process. Having issues with TVA not allotting time or keeping appointments.
GOOD OF THE UNION:
- Steve Cox preparing a presentation on wage negotiations to present to the body at the October meeting. This will be done at 6:30PM all members are urged to attend.
- Handout: Introduction and Chapters 1-4 from the IBEW Political/Legislative Affairs Manual.
- Cherokee Hydro plant technicians proving the value of having Union crafts at TVA.
- Danny Melton won the door prize.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:15PM. The next meeting is scheduled for October 7, 2008.
