a)     Letter from John K. Craig (International Representative IBEW 10th District) to All IBEW Local Unions with TVA Jurisdiction

                    i)            Subject: Panel Meeting

(1)         Friday August 7th, 2009 at the hall of IBEW LU 429 Nashville, TN.

 

 

b)     Letter from John K. Craig (International Representative IBEW 10th District) to David Beckler (TVA Vice President, Labor Relations)

                    i)            Appeal to Labor Relations the decision of the facility manager at Bull Run Fossil Plant with Comtrac #18444 filed by Jason Melton, having to do with management performing bargaining unit work.

 

 

c)      Sean Cash reimbursed for 1 day pay and registration fee for CLC meeting in Nashville, TN, on dates August 16th to August 18th, 2009

7)    Reports of Officers

a)     J.R. Cox gave a brief discussion on Fly Ash situation at Kingston Fossil Plant and some other fossil plants in the TVA System.

 

8)    Propositions for Membership

a)     Crystal Meilunas for Honorary withdraw.

-         Motion made, second, and passed.

b)     Scott Keys for Participating withdraw.

-         Motion made, second, and passed.

c)      James Allen was sworn in.

 

9)    Reports of Delegates and Committees

a)     Upper East Tennessee CLC

-       Ronnie Fletcher reported on the AFL/CIO Labor Day Bash. It’s to be held at 121 Spring Street, Johnson City, TN 37604.

-         J.R. Cox made motion to send $250 and send 5 IBEW T-shirts for door prizes. Second and passed.

 

10)    Accidents, Sickness or Death

a)     Jason Merritt had surgery.

b)     Steve Williamson’s father passed away.

 

 

11)    Unfinished Business

a)     Sean Cash brought up the intent of sending a care package to Danny Melton. Discussion was to take up items that he might need while he is in Iraq. Jason Melton will contact family members for a list.

-         Tim Wilkey won the Door Prize

b)     Phil Rose’s office had got the letter from the letter campaign and is aware of the situations.

c)      J.R. Cox state that Retirement Board to send letters to President Obama about middle class concerns.
