Black United Way Labor Liaison spoke on Community service, and that Federal
Energy Assistance is available in Knox Co. until June 30th.

Way has an upcoming Labor Luncheon for Union Leaders to learn more about the
United Way

Black also spoke on Union Plus, which are benefits for union workers. www.unionplus.org

Sportsman Alliance is in some ways like the NRA but has a labor friendly
agenda. Membership for the USA was pushed for those interested.

pushed were Knoxville/ Oak Ridge AFL-CIO’s Project Help, which is taking
donations to go toward people who are having hard times, and are above the
guidelines for other assistance programs. Its focus is to help with utility
bills and things of that nature.

also received information on what is fact and fiction on Healthcare Reform
which also has a list of benefits for seniors and when those go into effect
