a)      Minutes of the April 2009 meeting approved.

 

5)    Communications and Bills

 

a)      Letter from John K. Craig (International Rep IBEW 10th District) to all IBEW Local Unions with TVA Jurisdiction

i)        Subject: Arbitration Training - if our Local is interested in the District arranging Arbitration training we need to send a letter to International president Bobby Klein to that affect with the number of attendees we would send.  If the numbers justify the effort, the International will move forward to provide the Locals with cost and scheduling information.

 


 

b)      Letter from John K. Craig (International Representative IBEW 10th District) to All IBEW Local Unions with TVA jurisdiction.

(1)  Panel meeting Monday, May 4 2009 at IBEW LU 429 Nashville Tn.

 

 

c)      Letter from Robert P. Klein (International Vice President IBEW 10th District) to Danny Turner II (Business Manager LU 365, IBEW)

i)        Subject: Charges against members for non-payment of dues

     (1) International President Edwin D. Hills position on the subject

         (a) It is counterproductive and the Local Union’s Trail Board shall dismiss charges of the nature and re-open cases and dismiss charges in cases that were not appealed to the International

         (b) All cases of this nature appealed to the International will be overturned

 

d)    Letter from John K. Craig (International Representative IBEW 10th District) to David Beckler (Vice President, Labor Relations TVA)

i)        Subject: Grievance appealed to Labor Relations level

       (1) Comtrac# 17991 filled by Steve Cox KIF to do with the non-payment of call out time for work performed outside of normal work hours.

            

e)    Letter from John K. Craig (International Representative IBEW 10th District) to All IBEW Local Unions with TVA Jurisdiction

      i)  Subject:  Job Steward Training: The International office in cooperation with the District office is conducting all Job Steward training. The training is 8 hours with lunch provided by the Local

      ii) TVA is beginning to track grievance timeframes. The responsibility to properly advance a grievance is with the Union.

 

 

f)    Jason Melton 3 days pay to attend Utility Conference in Denver CO.

 

g)   J.R. Cox 1 day pay to attend Panel meeting in Nashville

 

h)  Ronnie Fletcher 4 days pay for Panel meeting and Meeting on the Hill

 

i)     Steve Cox - Reimbursement for rent of Kingston Community Cntr

11)           Unfinished Business

 

a)      Trades & Labor Council for Annual Employees of TVA and TVA will meet to discuss changes to the Multi-skill and Foreman classifications.

b)      Temporary replacement needed for the Recording Secretary position until Brother Danny Melton returns from serving our Country. Anyone interested please come to the May 05, 2009 meeting in Kinston, TN.
