i)        Subject: National Safety Council’s Labor Division Meeting  - May 17 - 20, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Louisville, Louisville , Kentucky

(1)   In addition, an IBEW only safety caucus is scheduled for May 20 - 21.

(a)    Safety issues and initiatives important to the IBEW members from all trade jurisdictions will be discussed during the caucus, along with specific training/information sessions.

(2)   Deadline for registration and reservations is April 24,2009

a)      The charter was draped and a moment of silence observed for Brother Neal Henderson.

b)      Brother Dennis Martin out of work with leg problems.

 

11)           Unfinished Business

 

a)      Trades & Labor Council for Annual Employees of TVA and TVA will meet to discuss changes to the Multi-skill and Foreman classifications.

b)      Temporary replacement needed for the Recording Secretary position until Brother Danny Melton returns from serving our Country. Anyone interested please come to the May 05, 2009 meeting in Kinston , TN.

 


 

12)           New Business

a)      Vice President Mustard to represent L.U. 365 at the 10th District progress meeting June 2009

b)      Next meeting will be held in Kingston , TN

ii)       Location:  Kingston Community Center 201 Patton Ferry Rd , Kingston , TN

c)      Steve Cox explained the IBEW stance on the “Peer Safety Champion”. Topic discussed by the membership.

d)      National Safety Council’s Labor Division meeting in May.

 

 

13)           Good of the Union

a)      Job Stewards’ training was held on March 14, 2009 at the IBEW Union hall in Knoxville , TN.   9:00 am to 4:30 pm EST.
