  The meeting was called to order at 7:15PM , by Pres. L.D. Blankenship. J.R. Cox was absent all other officers present.

BILLS AND COMMUNICATIONS:

-         D. Melton bill for plane ticket, registration and 5 days wages for the 2006 Utility Conference.

-         S. Cox for 1 days wages for union business at Kingston Fossil plant.

-         L.D. Blankenship bill for phone, 1days wages and mileage to IBEW Panel meeting and flowers for Ricky Grubb’s son.

-         COPE committee meeting Saturday April 8th.

-         Letter concerning a grievance for an employee at Kingston Fossil Plant Yard Ops.

-         Regulations under Article III Section 12 of the IBEW Constitution.

-         Letter from E. Hill concerning Sarah M Fox as Campaign Contribution Admin.

-         Letter concerning receipt of COPE fund check for $51.00.

-         Application for Harold G Woods scholarship was given out.

-         AFL-CIO financial statement.

-         Letter from J. Walters concerning Convention Call to the 37th IBEW International Convention.

-         The 2006 East Tennessee Truman Day Dinner will be on May 20th at 6:00PM .

-         Invitation to the Tennessee AFL-CIO Tech. Assist. Conference.

-         Election flyer for Harry Brown 4th Dist.

-         If you are interested in running for any office Chico has a Report of Candidate form to fill out.

NEW MEMBERS:

-         Darrell Lampkin Laborer at Norris Dam.

-         Travel card for Elmer Lane .

-         Travel card for Kenneth Moore.

REPORTS OF DELEGATES & COMMITTEES:

-         Chico presented a few items from latest Panel meeting:

o       Discussed new interview question for IM’s, Electrician’s and SGPO’s.

o       Discussed plant cutbacks @ Colbert Fossil Plant (3 AUO slots).

REPORTS OF DEATHS, SICKNESS OR INJURIES:

-         Sharon Stewart had a stroke Sat. and is currently still in the hospital.

-         Ricky Grubbs’ son passed away.

-         Update on Phil Seals.

-         Ed Butrum out of work with heart trouble.

-         Al Raney passed away.

-         Don Curd's mother passed away.

NEW BUSINESS:

-         Discussed picnic at the Smokies game either in May or June. It will be an all-u-can eat before the game plus game tickets for $18.50 per person. This is a family event, please see your job steward if you are interested.

-         Interest was made in obtaining forms to contribute the COPE fund or change contribution amt for individuals.

GOOD OF THE UNION :

-         Discussion was opened to moving the July meeting to an alternate date due to falling on the 4th.

-         Danny Turner won the door prize.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:05PM . The next meeting will be on May 2nd.
