BILLS AND COMMUNICATIONS: - Thank you letter from Pam Mayo for contribution to Hawkins County Dept. of Child Services. - Letter from Keith Craig concerning IBEW panel fund; bill for mediation on Dec.7, 2007 for Jesse Shadrick. - Upper East Tenn. CLC newsletter. - Knox-Oak Ridge area CLC newsletter. - Letter from Bobby Klein concerning the alliance for Retired Americans hosting southern regional conference. - AIL newsletter. - Letter from Ed Hill concerning Spring Meeting of the National Safety Council Labor Division. - Friends of Jon F. Walters’s invitation to his retirement party and a request for money with congratulatory message. - American Alliance Conference, Ltd 2008 Conference, May 2-6 on Current Developments Affecting Unions and Employee Benefit Funds. - Election guidelines from Ed Hill. - Bill from Danny Melton for travel, rental car, gas, motel, and food, to 10th Dist. OF DELEGATES AND COMMITTEES: - Ronnie Fletcher gave report on UET CLC meeting, Training being conducted on May 3rd was approved to send Mr. Fletcher. - Danny Melton gave report on the 10th Dist. Membership Development Conference. REPORTS OF ACCIDENTS, SICKNESS OR DEATHS: - Phillip Davis out of work due to Asbestosis. NEW BUSINESS: - Hydro committee going to 10th Dist. on 3-7-08. - Discussed the Phil Seals ballgame. The date is going to be late April early May. - The 70 year celebration on the Riverboat is going to be May/June timeframe. - Tickets to both of these events will be given up to a maximum of 4 per family per event. - TVARS upcoming election for new member to replace a sudden retirement among the board. Tim Wilkey will be putting himself in for running. - Mediation and Arbitration discussions. - Discussions onVPA’s at Bull Run. GOOD OF THE UNION: - Nominations for Local office positions in May with election being held in June. - Issue in TPS about Elect. Apprent. Program. - Roger Mustard Jr discussed dues arrears catch-up. - Steve Cox won the door prize. The meeting was adjourned at 8:30PM. The next meeting is scheduled for April 1, 2008.
