Pres. Turner called the meeting to order at 7:15PM.  Danny Melton was absent, all other officers present.

BILLS AND COMMUNICATIONS:

  1. Letter from Ed Hill concerning 2009 Utility Conference.
  2. Letter from Keith Craig concerning 2009 annual wage rates.
  3. Letter from Keith Craig concerning 2009 Fossil operations up-grade incentives.
  4. Letter from Keith Craig concerning appeal on labor relations decision of Ron Hall on a grievance filed concerning not filling AUO positions at Kingston.
  5. Letter from Keith Craig concerning Trades and Labor council and TVA will meet to discuss multi-skill and foreman changes.
  6. Request for reimbursement to Danny Turner for 1 days wages and mileage for labor relations hearing at Kingston.
  7. Request for reimbursement to JR Cox for labor relations hearing at Kingston.

REPORTS OF OFFICERS:

  1. JR Cox discussed CCDO position at Kingston Fossil Plant.
  2. JR Cox discussed Operations at Bull Run.

REPORTS OF DELEGATES OR COMMITTEES:

  1. Labor Council representative(s) gave report on past meeting.
  2. Anniversary Committee.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

  1. Development of Local budget ongoing with plans of meeting with treasurer to look at 2008 records.
  2. Local newsletter: any suggestions, ideas etc. please send them to Roger Mustard II.
  3. Expense and Procedure policy in draft status.
  4. Labor relations hearing for grievance at Bull Run involving qualifications for filling Unit Operator positions.

NEW BUSINESS:

  1. Assist. BM Faust discussed Hydro stewards meeting.
  2. Local’s dues increase for this year is $0.50 and International’s is $1.00 for a total of $1.50 per month. A member’s dues will now be $38.90 and BA member’s will $25.90 this is per month.
  3. 73rd Wage conference held in Dec. hand out was given.
  4. 2009 Utility Conf. held in Denver, CO June 1-3, 2009.
  5. Meetings to discuss multi-skill and foreman changes.
  6. State of Tenn. Dept. of Labor and Workforce Development Employment Security Division will be auditing the Local’s financial records from 2007.
  7. Job stewards training March 7th from 9-3.

GOOD OF THE UNION:

  1. February’s meeting will be held in Morristown, TN.
  2. Sean Cash new dad of a 7pound 11ounce girl.
  3. Shannon Brown won the door prize.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:35PM. The next meeting is scheduled for Feb 2nd, 2009 at:
